Hello ✨ Soulbrighters ✨This is a true Moroccan gem that we rarely get to see, and I enjoyed it so much that I’m really excited to share it with you all!
This Friday, we’ll wander through the vibrancy of Tangier’s sunlit streets and step into a modest apartment filled with memories of a long life. There, we’ll meet María Ángeles, a 79-year-old Spanish widow who lives quietly and independently as she grows older.
But everything shifts when her daughter arrives from Madrid with plans to sell the apartment. Faced with losing both her home and her autonomy, María refuses to give in. Determined to stay, she does everything she can to keep her place and reclaim a lifetime of belongings. Resistance slowly becomes a journey to reclaim her independence and reinvent herself in a delightfully rebellious way!
👵🏠👩🏻Calle Málaga (2025) 💛✨🇲🇦
❤️ WHAT I LOVE about this film is how it’s about growing old without giving in to age. And the way her quiet, rebellious actions turn into something real and life-affirming! It never feels forced, but it hits home! This is a mature feel-good film that is warm, a little funny, a bit romantic, and inspiring in a delightfully unexpected way! And it got me inspired, too!
🏆98% on Rotten Tomatoes, selected as Morocco’s submission for the Oscars!
Don’t miss this chance to watch this Moroccan gem on our BIG SCREEN!
✨ After the film, let’s engage in a friendly discussion to share thoughts, learn from each other, and make new friends!
