Event Information
This Monday, we will visit Colorado, U.S. and meet acclaimed spoken-word poet Andrea Gibson and their wife, fellow poet Megan Falley, as they navigate Andrea’s terminal ovarian cancer diagnosis. Rather than focusing only on illness, the documentary becomes a deeply moving love story filled with humor, creativity, and a portrait of how they continue to live fully while confronting mortality.
😊Don’t be afraid, this is NOT a depressing film! 😊
The film is often surprisingly funny and warm. Watching how they navigate one of the most vulnerable periods of their lives with love, wit, and an unshakable partnership, it becomes profoundly life-affirming and inspiring!
This is not a documentary about dying. It is about LIVING!
🖊️🫀❤️🔥Come See Me in the Good Light (2025)🔮✨🇺🇸
❤️ WHAT I LOVE about this film is how it features Andrea Gibson’s poetry: simple yet emotionally direct, speaking truth in a way that feels almost conversational, yet deeply moving without ever feeling overly “literary”. Their words feel like everyday speech shaped into something powerful, and the words brought tears even to non-poetry fans like me!
And there is so much profound wisdom throughout the film, revealed through their daily life. Andrea often says unexpectedly deep things while doing ordinary activities like fixing their mail box, cooking dinner, and those words stay with you long after.
🏆 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, nominated for an Oscar for Best Documentary, and recipient of 21 awards worldwide!
🔮This is a medicine for the soul! A FINAL GIFT from the artist that shows us how we, too, can live fully with openness, courage, and grace. Let’s share this wonderful film together and get inspired!
