Event Information
This Monday, we’ll journey to Tehran, Iran! Here we meet Vahid, a mechanic who one day encounters a man whose voice and distinctive squeak of his prosthetic leg remind him of someone who tortured him in prison. But Vahid was blindfolded during his interrogations, and he has never actually seen his tormentor’s face. Is this really the man he’s been looking for?!
Determined to find out, Vahid takes matters into his own hands and kidnaps the man into his van, setting out to find others who might be able to identify him. But can they really be sure? As more people join, conflicting opinions and uncertainty make an already complicated situation even more chaotic!
What follows is a series of unexpected events that turns their journey into a tangled web of moral dilemmas, testing their humanity and challenging their desire for revenge, all happening in just one day!
🚐🦿 It Was Just An Accident (2025) 🕵️ ⚖️🇮🇷
❤️ Oh man! Even after having watched it the second time there was not a single second of boring moment.
The writing is mind-blowingly tight, almost like a brilliantly constructed theatre play, with suspense that keeps you hooked from beginning to end. What a masterful execution!
🎭 And what starts with an incredibly unusual premise unfolds into a suspenseful, unpredictable road trip, blending moral dilemmas with wonderfully absurd situations and even moments of dark comedy!
🎬 And what’s even more remarkable? Director Jafar Panahi secretly made this film in Iran without official permission, despite a 20-year filmmaking ban imposed in 2010. The clandestine production of this film is an amazing story in itself! Will tell you more about it on Monday, too!
🏆 Winner of the Palme d’Or at Cannes, nominated for two Oscars and a BAFTA, and recipient of 41 awards worldwide!
A gripping thriller, a dark comedy, and a deeply human story with a profound message all rolled into one. This is one you don’t want to miss!
✨ After the film, let’s engage in a friendly discussion to share thoughts, learn from each other, and make new friends!
