This Friday, we land on a remote island surrounded by open sea and thick jungle, where the vast ocean separates a boy from everything he knows.
During a family sailing trip, young Michael is swept overboard and awakens alone on an untamed shore. Before long, he discovers he’s not alone and encounters Kensuke, a mysterious elderly Japanese man who has been living on the island in quiet isolation for years. At first, Michael struggles to communicate with Kensuke, as they share no common language. But slowly, through shared routines, careful observation, and small acts of care, the island transforms from a place of fear into one of healing, memory, and unexpected friendship.
