This Friday, we’re taking a journey to Iceland, and meet Kristofer, an aging widower and restaurant owner whose memory is beginning to fade.
As the COVID-19 pandemic sweeps the world, he decides it’s time to settle unfinished business before it’s too late: finding Miko, the Japanese woman he fell in love with while working at a Japanese restaurant in 1960s London, who mysteriously disappeared from his life 50 years ago.
With time running out and little to go on, Kristofer sets off on a deeply personal journey, determined to uncover the truth behind her disappearance.
More than a love story, it’s a poignant reflection on the passage of time, the persistence of memory, and the courage to confront the things we’ve left unresolved.
🤝❤️⏳Touch (2024)🇮🇸🇬🇧🇯🇵
❤️ WHAT WE LOVE about this film is how it transports you into its world! It’s immersive in such an intimate way! The warmth of the storytelling makes the restaurant feel so alive! And the romance between Kristofer and Miko unfolds so gently and tenderly, through little moments that make their connection all the more touching. It’s the kind of film whose emotions linger long after the credits roll.
🌟It’s very inspiring to see Kristofer, in his later years, take such a drastic step during the pandemic to search for his lost love, despite all the uncertainty. And beneath the romance, it’s a thought-provoking reflection on the things we leave unresolved in life, and what it takes to finally face them.
🏆 Winner of 10 Edda Awards, Iceland’s most prestigious film awards! And it became Iceland’s submission for the 2025 Academy Award for Best International Feature Film!
It’s tender, deeply moving, haunting, inspiring, and thought-provoking.
Don’t miss this chance to experience it on our BIG SCREEN! 🎬
✨ After the film, let’s engage in a friendly discussion to share thoughts, learn from each other, and make new friends!
