Planning a night out in Canggu
Unlike Seminyak, Canggu’s nightlife is spread across many mid-sized venues rather than concentrated in a few big rooms, and a lot of it is built on recurring weekly nights — the same venue, the same night, a different line-up. That means a Tuesday or a Wednesday here is rarely empty.
Sunset is the hinge of the evening. Beach-facing venues fill from late afternoon and the crowd moves inland as the night goes on, so it is worth starting earlier than you would elsewhere.
Guest lists and paid tickets
Most nights listed in Canggu are free to get into. Some ask you to join a guest list first: press Book on the event and leave your name and email. Where the venue keeps its own list, Book then takes you to the venue’s page to finish.
Comedy nights and some special events are ticketed. Where we sell the ticket, you pay on the event page by card or QRIS and the ticket comes by email. Where the venue sells its own, Book takes you to their ticket page.
At the door
Each venue sets its own door policy and dress code. Where a venue gives one, it is on the event page. Bring ID, and arrive before the time a guest list closes if the event names one.
Getting home
Canggu’s venues are spread out, and most people move between them by Grab or Gojek. Some village areas do not allow ride-hailing pick-ups, so you may need to walk to the main road. Do not ride a scooter after drinking.
