Quick answer: To take QRIS, card, e-wallet and bank transfer payments for a Bali event without your own merchant account, list it as a paid event on Balievents. Guests pay on a Xendit payment page, the total with the 3% service fee is shown before they pay, and each guest gets a QR ticket by email. Their tickets are held for 60 minutes while they pay, and a guest who does not finish gets one reminder.
Fast facts — from the Balievents checkout:
Why do Bali events need more than card payments?
Your guests come from everywhere. A visitor from Australia pays by card. Someone who lives in Canggu or Ubud pays from a banking or e-wallet app with QRIS, Indonesia's national QR payment standard. Others prefer a bank transfer. An event that takes only one of these loses the others at the last step.
Getting all of them yourself means a payment gateway account, a website to put it on and someone to match payments to names. A Balievents listing does that part for you.
How do guests pay on Balievents?
- They press Book on your event page and pick the date, the ticket and the number of guests.
- They leave a name and an email. No account is needed.
- They see the total — ticket price plus the 3% service fee — before they pay.
- They pay on the Xendit payment page by card, QRIS, e-wallet or bank transfer. The invoice shows two lines: the tickets, and the platform fee.
- They get a QR ticket by email, one per guest, and you are emailed that an order was paid.
Card payments always go through 3-D Secure, the bank's own check, which protects you from the payments most likely to be disputed later.
Every paid ticket sold on Balievents is paid this way, so every guest arrives with the same QR ticket your door staff scan. Setting up the door: event check-in and guest lists in Bali.
What happens while a guest is paying?
The tickets in their order are held for 60 minutes. Nobody else can take them in that time, so two guests cannot both buy your last ticket. If the payment is not made within the hour, the tickets go back on sale.
A guest who presses Book again for the same tickets gets the payment page they already opened, not a second order.
What happens when a guest does not finish paying?
Many guests open the payment page and stop: the QRIS code is on the laptop and the banking app is on the phone, or the transfer is left for later. Balievents follows up so you do not have to:
- An unfinished checkout gets one reminder email about an hour after it was opened, while the event is still ahead.
- A refused or expired payment gets one email with a button that opens a new payment page for the same order. Price, availability and any promo code are checked again, exactly as when Book is pressed.
Each guest gets one email per order, never a series.
