Book this week
Quick answer: To promote an event in Bali, put it on a bookable page first, then send people to that page from every channel: Google and AI search, Instagram, WhatsApp and Telegram groups, listing sites, and the venue's own guests. On Balievents the page is free with no commission; Event Boost (5% of each ticket sold) adds homepage visibility and SEO and GEO optimization, and Boost Plus (10%) adds an announcement in our WhatsApp community and an Instagram story on @bali__guide.
Fast facts — from the Balievents partnership page:
Why start with a bookable page?
Every channel below ends with someone asking "how do I get in?". If the answer is "DM us", you lose people at that step. A bookable page answers it in one tap: date, time, price, venue map and a Book button. Guests pay by card or QRIS, or reserve a free spot, and get a QR ticket by email.
It also gives every channel the same link. You can then see which one worked, instead of guessing.
Which channels work for events in Bali?
| Channel | What it does | What Balievents does there |
|---|---|---|
| Google and AI search | Brings people who are looking for a night like yours | Your listing is a page Google and AI assistants can read; Event Boost adds SEO and GEO optimization |
| Shows the night and the people | Boost Plus adds an Instagram story on @bali__guide (13K+ followers) | |
| WhatsApp and Telegram groups | Reaches people who live here | Boost Plus adds an announcement in our WhatsApp community |
| Listing sites and calendars | Puts you next to everything else on that night | Your event appears on Balievents' date, area and category pages |
| Ticket pages | Turns interest into a booking | Card and QRIS, QR tickets, Friday payouts |
| The venue's own list | Brings back people who came before | Every booking leaves a name and an email you can download |
Google and AI search
People search "what's on in Canggu tonight", "sound bath Ubud" or "techno Bali this weekend". They also ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude the same questions. These tools answer from pages they can read: a dated listing with a venue, a time and a price. An Instagram story is not one of those pages.
What to do:
- Write the title as people search. "Sunset sound bath in Ubud", not only the brand name.
- Fill every field. Date, start and end time, price or Free, venue, and what is included.
- List every date. A weekly night with all its dates on one listing shows up for each of them.
Event Boost adds homepage visibility and SEO and GEO optimization for 5% of each ticket sold, with nothing upfront. Our guide to the cost of promoting an event in Bali compares it with paying for posts.
Instagram is where guests check that a night is real: the venue, the crowd, the line-up. Post the poster, then stories closer to the date, and put the booking link in your bio and in every story.
Boost Plus adds an Instagram story on @bali__guide. For the posting sequence, see how to promote a Bali event on WhatsApp and Instagram.
WhatsApp and Telegram communities
Expats, nomads and long-stay visitors share plans in area groups: Canggu, Ubud, Uluwatu, women's groups, sports groups. Ask the admin before you post. Keep it to one message: what, when, where, price, link.
Boost Plus adds an announcement in our WhatsApp community.
Listing sites and calendars
Visitors look at calendars to plan a week. If your night is not on them, it is not in the plan. Balievents shows your event on its date pages, such as this week in Bali, and on its area and category pages, free. See where to find a Bali events calendar for how guests use them.
Ticket pages and promoters
In Bali many tickets are sold by people: promoters, hostel staff, villa managers. Give each one their own link and the dashboard shows the paid orders and ticket value per link. You can also add your own Meta, TikTok and Google Ads IDs. Set-up: event promoters and ad tracking in Bali.
The venue's own list
The cheapest guest is one who came before. Every booking on Balievents, free or paid, leaves a name and an email. Download them from the Sales tab as an Excel file and invite those guests to the next night. More in lead generation for Bali venues and event hosts.
